We developed a refreshed responsive website that reflects the new ambitions of a modern customer, to excite and inspire its sizeable user base.
With a 1000 year history, Borough Market is London’s oldest market and has a focus on local, organic, ethical and unique foods. They are a charity with foundations in community, quality and knowledge.
Brief
Saving time, increasing efficiency and engaging consumers.
Borough Market’s old website had been proving difficult to update, and as a result they were restricted in the way that they could deliver the wide range of content that they regularly generate. This was hindering their ability to position Borough Market as a leading authority on food, and was also costing them too much time in administering and updating the site.
Borough wanted to make sure their wealth of content reached as wide an audience as possible, allowing them to become industry influencers, and they wanted to be able to do this swiftly and simply, significantly decreasing admin time.

We provided Borough Market with a website and CMS platform that improved usability on the front end of the site, making it easier for users to find inspirational food related content and so increasing user engagement.
Our CMS platform helped the Borough Market team dramatically reduce the amount of time spent updating the site, increasing content distribution, resulting in more engagement with their recipes and food demonstrations.
The design of the site reflects the modern image of the market, and provides a streamlined user experience, making important information much easier to find (for both desktop and mobile users). We also integrated their newsletter platform (and cleaned their subscriber lists) to provide a more efficient solution for engaging with customers and traders.
