The design and development of a site for a new brand, that had the aim of expanding the business to multiple locations throughout the year. We delivered a website that would grow and develop with the needs of the business.

SWEAT! Union are a new, low cost gym that launched on 12 January 2015 in Walsall and had grown to 5 locations by the end of 2017, with further expansion confirmed in 2018. Since mid 2016, we have helped grow the brand further with marketing campaigns to launch the opening of 2 new gyms. We’ve also collaborated on campaigns using Google Adwords, Facebook advertising, organic social channels, printed media and email.

Providing exceptional service in a short amount of time: SWEAT! required a brand new website to be created in a short period of time, that could be replicated as their brand grew and gyms opened in other locations.

Their functionality needs were complex, but were met to ensure the user experience lead the design and build of each page. It was important to the client that the CMS worked for them and that they were able to add new items without our support if needed. More recently, the client celebrated the opening of a new gym in Chelmsford, which the CMS supported for a seamless, efficient build. We are excitedly prepared to host more successful additions to the SWEAT! franchise.

A long-term brand established in stages.

By working in close collaboration with SWEAT! to understand both their short and long term needs, we have been able to successfully grow this project through the many stages of a strategic phased delivery. Phase One saw the creation of designs that appealed directly to their target audience of 18-35 year old women. These met SWEAT!’s initial requirements. Phase Two saw the implementation of our CMS onto the site. Phase Three saw a redesign based on the needs of the business as it expanded to three new locations, as well as the introduction of more complex functionality. Due to the close collaborative working relationship, all changes and developments have been fast, simple and have given immediate results. Underpinning the launch of 5 gyms throughout 2016-17, we supported the client with a social media strategy that engaged the target market and helped generate interest in the brand to increase membership numbers.
